Questions & Answers Vendors

Do I have to be a German restaurant?

No! That’s the beauty of the OktoberFest – anyone can participate. But you do have to live or work in the Panhandle of Florida. As a matter a fact you don’t have to be a restaurant at all, in the past we have had social groups and clubs participate.

What is provided for entering?

You get a $250.00 stipend, a 10’x10’ tent, two 6’ tables, tablecloths, a team sign, menu board, all paper goods, and power. Each tent will receive 2 general admission tickets for the festival.

How much power can I have?

Teams are provided with two 110v outlets. The number of AMPs must be determined prior to arrival, if you need more outlets or heavier power, alert us.

Can I keep a vehicle at my booth?

Only if it is integral to your booths operation and/or adds to the overall flair of the event. Vendor parking is available for utility vehicles.

How much should I prep for?

Between 600 to 800 samples. This number depends on your ability, but 600 or more is a safe bet. Since this is our first year, it would be better to over inventory then not.

Are hand-washing stations provided?

No. Please bring your own continuous-flow hand-washing station. If you do not have one, rentals are available for $25/day.

Are plates or utensils provided?

Yes, disposable plates, napkins and utensils will be provided. We will have runners replenishing the utensils.

Do I need a business license?

No, you will not need to bring a copy of your business license.

How do I know when we can unload our products and equipment?

Our event team will contact you and give you the times of loading in and loading out. We will not allow anyone to bring vehicles back on property until after 6:30pm and only in your time slot that was given to you. You will also be assigned a parking pass to park on property.

What must I provide as a vendor?

You will need a fire extinguisher, chafing dishes, sternos, extension cords, serving utensils, decorations and staff to serve and promote your booth. We encourage you to bring handouts such as menus, Koozies, t-shirts, coupons and whatever you think you want to give away. Decorations for your booth are recommended.
Extreme Business Center has graciously agreed to offer special pricing for any of your print needs at a discounted rate.

What time can we start serving food?

The festival opens at 1:00pm, you must be ready to serve at 12:50pm but cannot serve until 1:00pm

Is there a limit of how many food booths will be accepted?

Yes, we are only accepting 8 to 10 food applications for this year’s event, it will be based on first come basis.  Applications must be submitted in order to be included in the 8-10 restaurants, verbal notification will not be accepted.

Can I bring a grill or a flat top?

Yes, you can bring in a gas, electric grill/flattop or a smoker that is self-contained. We strongly encourage gas if possible, do to electrical constraints. There will not be a dumping area for charcoal or ashes from firewood, so no charcoal grills are permitted.
